My idols

Yesterday at the airport there was a little boy who saw a fish in some advertisement and got really excited yelling “Nemo, Nemo! Look mom it’s Nemo!”  He was pretty cute.  Then I asked my mom what I used to get really excited about when I was little and she was like “O jeeze, you used to quiver whenever you saw Peter Pan.  Also Ernie from Sesame Street.  It was like you had an incredible reverence for him.”   She said that one Christmas she wrapped all my presents in  Ernie  wrapping paper and that I refused to open them.  I think it is safe to say that they have been the biggest influences on my life so far.

I always forget how much I like being home.

Even though I am really excited about coming home and not going back to Miami, I am pretty sad about leaving some of my friends.  Over the past semester I have made a few connections with people that have been really important to me.  It hasn’t really hit me yet that I won’t be seeing them all the time anymore.  It’s kinda weird.

In the beginning of the year, I noticed this billboard with a glasses-wearing water-skiing dog named Pepito. Pepito wanted Lasik. All year, they changed the billboard for whatever holiday was going on (Pepito in a Santa outfit, an Easter bunny costume, etc.). But now, the billboard says that he had lasik!!! Now he can water ski without his glasses. I will miss Pepito, he has led an incredible life.
